When your child is vomiting it can definitely be causeĀ for concern. But if your infant is projectile vomiting which mean the vomit comes out forcefully then you are probably even more concerned. If your infant is projectile vomiting you should see immediate medical attention.

If you have a infant that is projectile vomiting after the feeding. You should see the childs pediatrician as soon as possible. This may be caused by an obstruction that requires immediate attention. Also if nothing is wrong and you misinterpreted spit up for vomiting don't be embarrassed. Remember your childs health is important.

Pylonic Stenosis is also another cause of infant projectile vomiting. This is usually between the ages of 4 to 6 weeks of age.Its the result of an obstruction that occurs in the stomach

Viruses and Infections can cause projectile vomiting. If this is the case. Trying to diagnose your child not a good idea. Make an appointment to see the doctor.

Remember that most babies spit up alot in their first months. Some may overeat or have acid reflux and spit up. Spit up is not forceful or projectile . But if you are concern about how much your baby spits up. By all means make an appointment to see the doctor.

Projectile vomiting can be a scary thing to see in your child. But if you treat it and don't ignore it . It will eventually go away. My daughter who is now 14 yrs old. She had projectile vomiting alot. I had to change her clothes all the time. And now my 3 month old Kristina has it. Just be patient and in time it will go away.
