Hope My Daughter Makes The Right Choice

My 14 year old daughter is in the 8th grade. Next year she will be going into the voke.. That is a trade school. Whern kids enter the voke things can happen. Like they can hang with the wrong crowed. They are so many things they can try and get into. One big thing is drugs. Some kids try to push you to the limit to try them.. Then we have cigarettes. So many teenagers  now a days smoking, Plus they try to get there friends who don't smoke to do it. They say that you are cool and popular if you smoke. Here comes another big concern I have. Sex and babies. Alot of teenagesr are having sex now. They thing that is so cool too. They don't care what kind of diseases they catch. Especially AiIDS now a days. Some don't even use protection. Then along comes an unwanted baby. Some of them  will be good moms and other won't be.This is the biggest one and it was very popular when I was in high school. Peer pressure I feel this  is the hardest one because it makes you do things you really don't want to do. Or even that you thought you would never do. If you don't do the things everyone else is doing. Your were considered not cool and unpopular. Peer pressure can sometimes lead to teen suicide which is not a cool thing. A parent losing there teen. That can be devastating. I don't think I could ever handle that. Even with the lose of my mom and my daughter's farther. So has you can see I have this big fear and what will happen. What kind of choice my daughter will make in the voke. She know all about drugs. How they can harm her. What can happen if she has unprotected sex. What kind of diseases she can catch. But my biggest fear is peer pressure.  It  can be tempting. So I guess I will just have to sit back and see what she will do. She knows I'm here for her. To talk to her or just listen to what she needs to say. I will try to get all the help she needs and wants. I know when to pressure her. I know when to back off. So I just hope she makes the right choice. Because one bad choice can mess up her life forever. So here is a message to my daughter Melissa. I'm here if you need me. I love you with all my heart.

As parents we can only do our best and try to teach our children to stand on their own two feet, with respect for others and themselves. Moms always worry about their children no matter how old they are.
