The Things We Do As Parents

I have been a single mom for a little over 7 years. Raising my daughter alone. People think it is easy to do. Well let me tell you it's not. Your there 24/7 no coffee breaks what so ever. Even if you are sick too. That makes it even hard. It seems like your a mom and a dad all wrapped up in one. Your the one who disciplines, rewards and praises all the time.There is no one to share the special moments with .Like for instant my 14 year old daughter will be finishing middle school this year. Which means she will be going to High School. I have no one to share that experience with. No one to tell them how proud I am or how scared I might be for her. Or even when they are hurt. That is when you are in high demand. You can't just hit the snooze button and roll over and say hunny can you get up and get her ready for school. Sometimes I have days like that but somehow you find your strength to get up and do it. The thing I have come across is when you want to go out with your friends. You have to turn around and find someone to watch your kids. Then when your out you're always thinking are they ok. You cant really trust anyone with your kids now a days. If you know what i mean. Now I can say that I don't have to do that alone anymore. I have found an awesome man in my life that takes care of me and my daughter. Even though we have been together for a short time. He has lifted alot of weigh off my shoulders. The coolest part about this is that we are expecting a baby in Feb 2010,So for all those single parents out there.Just keep on doing the best you can. That is what I did.
